CSC373/406: Admin: Expectations [6/42]

We will be using several unfamiliar tools:

• the linux operating system,
• the c high-level language,
• the x86 assembly language,
• the gcc compiler and suite of related tools,
• the gdb debugger.

You will work on three interesting (and time consuming) labs.

To succeed in the class you must engage the material actively. You will need to

• start early,
• be proactive in finding solutions, and
• quickly ask questions about issues you cannot quickly resolve on your own.

Time is of the essence! You need to work early and ask questions early.

If you delay, you will be lost in incomprehensible morass!
